Teryn Coffman, MSW, LICSW

IMG_4682.heic

Teryn sees individuals (8 and up), couples and families who may be struggling with stress, mental health symptoms or just feeling overwhelmed in general. She hopes to help guide clients through their current situation and be there for them as they navigate some of life’s difficulties. You don’t always have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

When a client comes to see Teryn for therapy they can expect a more conversational and laid back approach. She does her best to help clients understand their symptoms and educate them with helpful materials and develop practical coping skills.

Teryn often see people struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, and other life stressors. Teryn has experience working in an inpatient mental health unit which can allow for a unique perspective to those that are in crisis or recently left the hospital.

Teryn uses an eclectic approach for therapy with individuals as no one approach fits all. Some examples are CBT, ACT, strengths-based, solution-focused, biopsychosocial, psychodynamic and mindfulness.

Outside of work, you can see Teryn spending time with her husband and pets, doing jigsaw puzzles and likely watching some trashy television shows for her own self-care.
